First big boy haircut!

So I have been cutting this kids hair since he was just a few months old but after the last fiasco I decided it was time to get it professionally cut!  I don't know why but his hair is just to hard for me!  It is so very straight anything you do looks crazy intense.  Every little cut shows up!  So now our one year old gets $20 haircuts and I just have to accept that.  Eeek!

Well, he did great.  He screamed and cried for about 1 minute and then just watched the TV the entire time.  He really, really loved that he could turn the wheel on the car to pretend he was driving.  I think the whole situation of being in the hospital just a couple of weeks before really prepared him for having strangers touch him.  Before that he would freak out if a strange woman touched his head.  But he just accepted it.  As a matter of fact he didn't want to leave!

Here he is just standing and staring back into the store.  And in typical Owen fashion he didn't want to get a good pic for me.  Here is he is later in the day.

Oh, and I musn't forget Annie also got a tiny trim.  She was thrilled beyond words that the lady let her pick out her own butterfly clips to put in her hair!

It is hard to imagine that I used to cut all of their hair myself!  Now the big boys want fancy cuts a I can't do and the two little ones are just too hard for me.  I might have to find a part time job to afford these kids fancy dos!

Signor sleepy head!

So I really pride myself on making sure my kids get enough sleep.  I never have babies that just conk out in the middle of doing something.  Until baby #4 evidently!  Poor kid gets dragged around all over the place and never gets a good nap in.  He was snuggled up with Noah J eating his snack and just couldn't keep his eyes open.  His head kept bobbing back and forth till he just finally gave it up.

Cutest baby ever!

Smiles!

So Owen is definitely not the smiliest baby ever. By a long shot.  So when we get a smile I just have to snap away!  We were outside sitting and watching the big kids play when he gifted me with these cutey faces.  Love it when he sticks that tongue out!

And lest you think he is Mr. Happy Baby you must know that it ended less than a minute later with this face....

Reiders tiny teeth!

This kid just did not want me to get a pic of those two tiny teeth!  All that crazy drooling this kid has been doing since almost birth finally came to fruition with these teeth!

This is maybe my favorite teeny tiny tight onesie.  Ohhh, I just wanna gobble him up, he's such a tiny little man!

Little boy!

This kid cracks me up!!  I want to say he hates being on his stomach but I guess he doesn't.  None of the other kids purposefully rolled over and then hung out looking around the room like this one done.  Problem is he gets tired of it and then just cries and cries till we come roll him over.  The thing is, he can roll both ways.  But he doesn't when he gets mad!  He just moans till we come save him.  He doesn't always have the passy, but if he is in the mood he really loves it.  Isn't his comb over the best?!  At least three times a week I declare I am going to cut it but when the moment comes I just can't do it!  I love the last pic where he is looking to the side - his life is so crazy with 3 siblings he never knows what is coming!  Not much makes me happier than how he always has those eyebrows up!

A day of firsts!

So I haven't even blogged his birth yet, but just had to make a quick note so I don't forget his big day.  Little man slept in his crib the whole night last night!  Yay!  He was on Neocate for the first night and slept like a perfect little angel.  Such a relief!!  Of course today he was difficult, but I'll just focus on the positive.  :)

He also cooed today for the first time.  Such a sweet, sweet voice he has.  He normally just grunts, gurgles from reflux, and cries, so it was so thrilling to hear his precious voice.  On top of that he noticed the mobile on the swing for the first time today.  As soon as I put him in the swing he looked up at it so I turned it on and he was mesmerized.  And to top it all off he had his first visit to the pumpkin patch!  Don't know how we ever lived without this little guy as part of our lives!

Brotherly love!

My little boy and my littlest boy certainly have a special bond!  Wyatt was thrilled when Owen was born and looked so much like him!  We were too!  Wyatt is always sad that he is the only person in the family that has yellow hair and he thinks he looks "different" than everybody else.  So to have a mini-me is something he needed!  They even have the same hair growth pattern at the front of their heads.  I have always loved how Wyatt's hair grows to the side up from and Owen's is growing in the same exact way.  It's adorable!

Wyatt is always there to help me with this little guy.  He is the best at holding him during times when he's crying to be held and I'm trying to get stuff ready to get out the door on time.  How on earth could I manage this without the older boys to help me?

Big and Tiny!

Noah is absolutely head over heels for his littlest brother!  He adores spending time with him on the floor when he's awake.  He lays there and has tons of conversations with him and Owen just soaks it up!  Noah J has been such a tremendous help to me these last few weeks - fetching stuff, helping with the other kids, doing housework, and keeping this little guy calm when I can't tend to him right away.  So, so thankful for both my precious boys!

Sleepless nights!

I think these pics pretty much sum up our first week home!  I'm so thankful Owen really loves some Daddy snuggle time in the evenings!  And even more thankful Joshua is the type to soak it up, no matter how exhausted he is.  Little boy sleeps like this for hours every night!  He's a top notch snuggle bug!
