Schools out beach trip!

It is so hard to believe it had been 2 years since we had been to the beach till this trip!  With all the smelly seaweed problem Galveston had last year we didn't even go a single time.  Luckily the  beach was perfect this time around.  They were all so happy!

They spent most of the time body boarding and they had a blast.  Even Annie was brave enough to actually do it this year!  And she definitely wins the award for cutest face while doing it!

Owen Reid had no fear of the ocean at all!  We put him down in the sand he crawled right on in.  And then he wanted to eat the sand.  Lots of it.

So the rest of the trip was pretty much figuring out how to keep Owen's sand consumption to a minimum.  That, and trying to keep a hat on his head.  The bucket hat was a major no no.  Check out signor grumpy pants.

We also had our very first visit with the ice cream man ON the beach.  Yup, he drove right onto the beach.  Everything was right with the world for the next five minutes.  I'm pretty sure their is nothing better than splashing in the ocean while you are eating a snowcone.  At least not to my Rosie girl!

We had a small dinner break...

and then went back to the water until the sun went down.  My favorite time of day at the beach.  Forget the sunrise, sunset is where its at!

Everybody into jammies and one sleepy baby fed.  And then of course the long ride home, but not before a few minutes to watch the lights on the pleasure pier.  They were beautiful!

Newsboys!

It is so much fun to have kids that are old enough to enjoy going to concerts with us!  And lucky for us they love the same music we do.  Well, I guess not lucky.  They pretty much only get to listen to what we allow so it seems pretty obvious we would all like the same things!  Since I missed the Newsboys concert back in October due to Owen being just born we decided to go the next one we had a chance to attend.

A plus was that it was in College Station which is always fun to go back to.  The church was actually kinda small so even though we were on the back row we had great seats.  Seeing Audio Adrenaline and Newsboys together was pretty much like reliving junior high for me.  Only thing missing was Astroworld!  So much fun!

Pumpkin Patch for six!

Our first trip to the pumpkin patch as a family of six!  Craziness!!

I honestly wasn't quite prepared this year - usually have cute outfits and such but Owen has thrown us for a loop quite honestly.  We waited until the last minute and then scoured our closets for something decent to wear and here it is, folks!  This is as good as it gets at this point!

They had the CUTEST setup for new babies.  Don't you just love it?

Had to get a pic of all the grandsons together.  Joseph was tickled that Owen held his finger!
And we were able to snatch one picture of all the grandkids.  Sounds easier than it is! :)

I tried to get a nice picture with Owen Reid.  He would not wake up!  Well, until he did. You can see how well little boy cooperated!  He was not cool with it.

They also had a new setup with a huge ruler.  It was fun to measure them all!

Annie ran around hugging all her favorite pumpkin characters.  She was so sweet!  It kind of made me sad that the boys are so old and didn't have that same excitement anymore.  I'm happy to have one more little boy to love on through those adorable toddler years!

And of course Grandma and Grandpa bought everybody a pumpkin.  Here they are with their special chosen pumpkins!  They were out of teeny pumpkins so Owen had to settle for a teeny acorn squash.  Ha!

Owen kind of thought the whole thing was rather unexciting and did what he does best!!  :)
