A little love!

Aren't they just the cutest?  Love getting to pick a teensy something special for these guys!

They each got a set of hugging stuffed animals, a sweet treat, and the BIG gift - surprise tickets to see the Newsboys in concert in College Station!  We were so bummed that I had to miss the last concert and Josh had to leave early so even though it was so close to the last one we decided to surprise everybody.  They couldn't believe it!

Even little Reidy boy was totally into his gift!  I thought it was so adorable how he picked it up right away and really loved when the kids read the card to him.  It is so much fun having a baby in the house again!  He is a ham!  Chewing on his fingers.  Always!

2015 Valentine's Boxes!

Once again the kiddos made Valentines boxes to take to our local homeschool group's Valentine's skating party.  They thought long and hard and really came up with their own ideas this year.  Annie of course wanted to make a Doc McStuffin's doctors bag.  Check her out modeling it!

I told her she could pose anyway she wanted and that is what she came up with!  ha ha!

Noah was crazy stressed for a month trying to decide what to make so when he came up with the Cypress TKD building I knew I had to agree just to save my sanity!  It was one of the more challenging boxes we have ever made!  He was so excited that he won for most creative box in his age group for the 2nd year in a row!  It might be hard to tell, but that is him and Wyatt in the windows on the front with their teacher Mr. Dillon on the side.  So cute!

Wyatt made the most amazing duck blind ever!  Notice how he even wore his Duck Dynsasty shirt to the party!  No coincidence, no sir!  He planned every last detail.  This boy did this entire box by himself!  All I did was print out his photo for him.  He was so, so proud of it and absolutely heartbroken that he did not win.  I was pretty heartbroken for him, too, since I knew how many hours he spent finding the perfect leaves and moss and gluing it all on.  He really thought about all aspects of the design - he insisted on painting the water paper so it looked muddy like a real swamp.  And then carefully glued on each duck.  He was thrilled when we spotted those in the dollhouse section at Hobby Lobby!

Wish I had Owen in the pic but he was already strapped into his car seat and I wasn't gonna go through that whole madness again!  Can't wait for next year!

Valentine's Day boxes!

We were happy to go to our annual Valentine's Day party with our homeschool group again this year.  They kids had been planning their boxes for months now and we were super pleased with how they turned out.

Rosie of course requested a "Punzel tower."  She helped do all of it and was the most thrilled with the little pic of her from Halloween that we put in the tower window.

Wyatt requested a Minecraft creeper box and spent FOREVER glueing all the pieces on all by himself.  Made me a bit nervous to hand over the glue gun but he did a great job!

Noah stuck with his love of Harry Potter and made this Monster Book of Monsters.  It was actually the easiest to make!  And the super exciting part was that he won for his age group and came home with a gift card to Hobby Lobby!

I'm thinking next year I'll actually let Annie skate!  This year, though, she was happy to hang out eating snacks with her friends!

Valentine's Day!

Look at these little cuties all waiting for their Valentine's Day surprises!!  Well, I guess two of them waited patiently and the other couldn't stand it any longer!  This year each of the kiddos got a stuffed animal as usual, a candy, and this time a movie.  They were thrilled!

Annie got the movie Brave, which she immediately fell in love with. She doesn't call the main character Merida, she calls her "Brave Annie."  It is pretty adorable and has been quite convenient cause we are able to remind her that she is Brave Annie whenever she gets scared!

The boys of course got bears along with the next two Harry Potter movies!  They both love them some HP so they were thrilled to now be the owners of 4 of the movies.  And of course the day was completed with a batch of Valentine's Day heart cookies!

Valentines Day!

Yes, I give my kids Valentines gifts.  I think my momma thinks it is a bit much, but I simply cannot help myself.  I think it is such a wonderful day just to tell them how much ya love them.  My mom always made us cookies every year, and I still continue that tradition with my momma's recipe.

They each got a stuffed animal and a small candy thing.  Noah's is a red Darth Vader head candy jar, which is possibly the most awesome thing I have ever seen.  Wyatt got an M&M dispenser thing, and Annie got a Hello Kitty purse full of candy necklaces.  They were all tickled pink.  Annie's animal is an elephant, and for some reason she believes that elephants howl like a wolf.  So she immediately started howling...

Which we could not get enough of cause it was hysterical.   :)  Wyatt was in love with his lion..
This year we decided to splurge a little bit and get an extra gift that was for all three of them.  We chose a Mario Party game for the Wii, since all of us could play.  But we only have two remotes, so we bit the bullet and bought one more for Rosie.  They were excited they each got to open a little box!

Mario Party has been a huge hit!  Annie loves that she can play with us, and she really thinks that Princess  Peach is a drawing of herself.  When we ask her who she wants to be when we start the game she points to her and says, "Ninny!!  Ninny!"  Not sure if the girl will ever learn to pronounce her name right.  :)

Josh and the kids got me lots of lovely Valentines and even a new pair of my favorite jammies!  And we surprised Josh with a wall mounted K-Cup holder, which he was thrilled with.  I love how easy we are to please!
