Our hoopster!

Our little baby has a love for basketball! So his Granny got him this hoop to play with. He was most impatient for Daddy to finish putting it together, as you can see. He was thrilled to play with the net. He also thinks its quite amusing to put the football in the hoop. At least he has the ball part right!

Our computer arrived yesterday, and hopefully we will be hooked up to the internet by the end of the week so I can start blogging again!

Toys, toys, toys!

So my parents have finally decided to get a digital camera, so these pics are courtesy of them! I'm having blogging withdrawals since we have no computer, so this makes me feel better!

Noah's newest thing is that he wants to do everything by himself, and since he's not talking, he just pushes you away. Its pretty funny how upset he gets if you don't back off! And why wouldn't we let him stand on a recliner all by himself?

And Grandpa and Grandma watched him for me on Saturday while I worked on a cookie order, and look how sweet this little boy is with his Grandpa! With us he just runs and screams!

And of course, toys, toys, toys! G&G went shopping this weekend and picked up a basketball goal, and a little pull-a-long puppy. He LOVED both of them. What a happy boy!!

Some pics!

I could hardly believe it but when I came home from my parents this afternoon the computer was charging! So I was able to download a few pics and post some! I'm sure I only have a few minutes of time here, so I must be brief!

I bid on a recorder on ebay for noah and some woman beat me out in the final seconds so my mom found him this one. He LOVES to blow on it. He also likes to try and hit Joseph with it. :-)

And this pic is him with his two favorite things in the whole wide world - the vaccuum cleaner and a toothbrush! It doesn't matter whose brush it is, he just wants to carry it around all day long. And check out his Euro shirt his Oma brouht him back from Deutschland. Nifty, huh?

And of course, there is NOTHING in the world that is more fun than eating your afternoon snack in a produce box. Nothing.

The Teeter Totter!

Last week during all the rain Kelly invited us to go to Beyond Bounce to get out of the house. It was a great idea and the kiddos had lots of fun - especially on the see-saw!!

Since this was Noah's 2nd time there he was much more adventerous. His favorite thing was the basketball court! Looks like we're gonna have to get him one of those Little Tykes plastic ones!

The most precious boys in the whole wide world!

I really do believe that I'm the most blessed girl on the entire planet cause I get to be with my two boys everyday!

We went to the park this morning and Noah J actually climbed up the slide this time! It was so hideously humid the camera fogged up - hence the angelic photos!

Busy Weekend!

I didn't take any pictures, but Noah J had a very full weekend. He got to visit Central Market, stop at Wabash Feed and pet some puppies, kittens, and bunnies, and also run away from the geese! He played in the dark and Grandma and Grandpa's when the electricity went out, and also got treated to a delicious mac & cheese meal at Saltgrass by his Granny. He was wiped out tonight - he fell asleep on Josh's shoulder after we got him out of the car! So sweet!

Off to school???

Noah has decided that he MUST wear his backpack if he is in the house. There's nothing in it, but he just gets so tickled to walk around with it! When it falls off he brings it to me crying so I will put it back on for him. Too cute!

MR. DESTRUCTO!!!!!!!

That is Josh's favorite nickname for little Noah J. Here is a pick of Noah in action - knocking down the lego robot man every single time Josh builds it for him. You can see the head is already gone. FUN!

So maybe we're just a little concerned!

Besides the pager, Noah's other obsession is shoes. He is constantly bringing them to us - getting them out of the closet, from the front door, and just about anywhere else we dump them. We used to put them on thinking it was cute, but now we've created a special place where we put all the shoes each time he brings us some. Of course this spot is not the closet like it should be, but thats a whole other story!

Today Noah J brought me one of my heels from the closet and wanted me to put them on his foot. So I put it on him, and pulled some of his jammies through this little hole on the top of the shoe, and that kid was so darn happy to walk all over the house in that shoe. He walked up and down the hallway listening to it clack on the tile. When it fell off he got hysterical until we put it on his foot again. And of course, all the while, dragging his blanky with him!

Notice his absolutely adorable new pj's his Granny got him. Josh and I were so obsessed with his cuteness in them that we didn't dress him till after noon! He looks like a baby in them instead of such a big boy! Now I think this is the only type of jammies he will ever get!

Page Dr. Marlatt!! STAT!!!

Noah J has a total obsession with Josh's pager. And we've always just let him play with it cause its really not a big deal. Or so we thought. A couple of weeks ago all of Noah's excessive slobber drenched it so much that it stopped working. So Josh got a new one from his job (of course not telling them really what happened to the old one). So we took the battery out of this one and now its his to play with. He was so funny walking around with it on his waist today! Of course he still wanted the one Josh has so we had to constantly remind him of the one on his own pair of pants!

Time out for some juice!

I thought this moment was just too cute to pass up - Noah J and Adeline sippin' from their cups at the park yesterday! Noah had tons of fun, but the mosquitos were a nightmare! By the end of the day yesterday we counted 9 bites just on his head/neck alone!

Since Adeline is an older lady I was hopeful Noah would pick up on her ability to climb the stairs and go down the slide by himself just like her. No such luck though. He wouldn't even climb the stairs - he was a bit freaked by them. I guess cause they're big black metal things - nothing like the stairs and Grandma and Grandpa's!

He also got to hang at the pool in the afternoon with Aunt Christy and cousin Joe, and then got treated to dinner at The Outback by Granny! And luckily for him, on the way home we stopped at Target and bought some bug spray!

Such a little boy!

My baby bear has decided that he thinks its absolutely hysterical to burp. When he does it he stares at us with this huge grin on his face waiting for us to react. So of course I laugh and carry on about it and he burps again. Then I laugh, then he burps, then I laugh, then he burps. Well, this goes on until he can no longer summon any burps.

So tonight in the bathtub he burps. And we laugh and then Josh burps back at him. Well he just couldn't stop laughing. And then my boys had a burp off. I think its quite possibly the happiest Josh has ever been! :) And when Noah J couldn't burp anymore he did this looooooooong, deeeeeeeeeep growl instead thinking we couldn't tell the difference. He's too funny!

And last night I caught the boy asleep sitting up in his crib. He turned his music on around midnight right when I was going to bed. So I went to check on him and turn his fan off like I do every night, and he was sitting up. Thinking he was awake I walked in and started talking to him and realized he was asleep sitting up in the corner!!!!!!!!! Of course I woke him so then I got to have some sweet nighttime rocking in the glider! OOOOOO, my favorite! I guess his music just lulled him right to sleep!

Sorry I don't have any picks this week! He's become such a monster grabbing at the camera its been hard lately!

Nothing but trouble!!

So my little boy got into my gigantic bin of flour today. Evidently when I made a cake for the 4th I forgot to snap the lid on all the way. I buy flour in bulk cause its so cheap and I keep this huge rubbermaid tub on the floor of the pantry (which is Noah's favorite place to play). I was in the dining room playing with Joe today and suddenly see this white hand tapping me on the shoulder. I turned around and this is what I found!!

I am just in love with these pictures cause he has those little spindly legs and that huge filthy outfit - I don't know why I bought something white and size 24 months. Don't look at the dirty dishes on my counter!!

Happy 4th!!

Noah J had quite a fun day - he mostly got to run around Grandma and Grandpa's yard the whole day! He did not partake in any brisket our sausage, but he still enjoyed the festivities by licking a little bit of ice cream from the beater. He liked how it tasted but I think it was a bit too cold for his liking. He also played in the new playhouse/slide G&G bought and his favorite thing was opening and closing the door. He also enjoyed helping Grandmpa sweep the ice off the sidewalk from the ice cream mixer.

Oh yeah, sorry about Josh's head being cut off in the pic, but it really was the best one we got!

We were thinking maybe we would do some fireworks tonight, but its rainy and Noah J was just so exhausted he went right to sleep when we got home. Maybe next year!

Happy 4th everyone!

Oh so much fun

So we finally got the swing hung up from Noah's birthday! Yes, I know, its been forever, but we needed some special hardware to hang it from the porch, and then we just kinda forgot about it.

You can see at first he wasn't too keen on it, but then he decided that he loved it. Now when we go outside after he inspects the hose/faucet he reaches for it and wants to swing away. We're so glad he likes it! :)

Our Day at the Beach!

We had so much fun at the beach today! But I can say that I certainly know 3 people who will be going to bed early! We left the house at 8:30 this morning, picked up Grandma, Grandpa and the rest of the Slavik clan, and headed for Galveston. The car ride was a little long for Noah J, but it was worth it in the end!

Grandpa rented us some umbrellas and chairs, and we had a blast. Noah immediately was in love with all of the sand. He went straight for the big pile of sand that had been plowed up and started digging in it. He then decided he should lay in the sand - and of course it stuck to him because of the massive amounts of sunscreen we put on him. Then we took him to the water and he did not like it at all. He immediately started crying - even before he got wet. So the majority of the day was spent on the beach, not in the water.

After a couple of hours we coaxed him into the water again, but he still didn't really like it. He was so enthralled with the birds that actually would kind of come close to him, but was really frustrated he couldn't touch them. He also had lots of fun with those little sand scraper things that you can dig with. Our afternoon ended with a delicious cold fried chicken lunch, courtesty of Grandma's kitchen. He immediately zonked out in the car on the way back, just as we all wanted to.

The only downside to the day was that Uncle Aaron got stung by a jellyfish! We felt really bad for him, but we were all glad it didn't happen to us! :) We had a great time, but with all of the clean up and everything, I'm glad we won't be going again till next summer!! ;-)

Beyond Bounce!

On Thursday we got to go have fun at Beyond Bounce. Aunt Christy treated us to an afternoon of fun, and Noah J had a blast. Its one of those places that has those moonwalk type things inside a building and you pay money to go jump on them. Well this one has a whole infant area and a toddler area. It was pretty cool - and I think they'll probably get more stuff the longer they're open - its kind of a mom and pop type operation.

Noah J especially loved the slide - he wanted to go again and again. Unfortunately I wore flip-flops and you have to have socks to go inside any of the blow up stuff, so poor Aunt Christy had to take Noah onto everything. I refused to pay the $ for socks there - so next time I will have to be better prepared!

I just love that picture at the top - it looks like Noah's gonna wack Joe right over the head - and you see Joseph is looking at him like, hey, what are you doing? And the picture of Noah on his tummy is of him sliding across the floor. Its his new thing. He lays down on his stomach and then pushes himself backwards with his hands laughing the whole time. He's an odd duck sometimes.

World's Cutest Overalls!

So Noah J finally got to wear his new overalls this week! They had to be saved for just the right occasion - you know when you get back from the pool and you had to ride in the car and you were cold? They were the perfect warm you up, but not too much after the pool outfit. They were a birthday gift from Ms. Jessica and Mr. Keri that he really loves to play with - all of the designs on it are evidently facinating. :)

In the pics he's chewing on a calculator - I know, maybe not the best toy, but he absolutely loves it. He has 2 different calculators that he carry's around everywhere. You can see he also enjoyed chewing on the string on Daddy's wet swim trunks. Silly boy.

Sleepy baby!

Here's out little boy last night. We went in to check on him and he was so darn cute all snuggled up in the corner I ran and got the camera. Evidently since his naptimes have been half as long as usual the last two days, even the camera didn't wake him up. You see he has his two favorite things close by - his blanky and his puppy! So cute!

Fun in the sun!

We FINALLY went to the pool today! It was absolutely glorious - you know I just love the water so I was really hoping Noah J would like it, and he did! He was extremely interested in this group of rowdy boys splashing in the water. He wouldn't even look at us, as you can see in the pictures!

He didn't like being held in the water too much, but really enjoyed sitting in one of those float things that are made for babies. Somehow it didn't get in a picture! The sad thing is that he doesn't get very wet in it - mostly his legs are just in the water, but he didn't seem to mind one bit. He really liked my rendition of a killer whale, and also my George Washington hair. He was also extremely excited to have some crackers and juice on the cool lounge chair during adult swim.

The pool doesn't open till 11:00, and Noah usually naps till about 12:00, and Josh has to leave for work at 1:20, so there really is not much time for us to go, unless its a weekend and then its packed. And Josh is off Mondays, but then we have Joseph and our sections pool is closed, but I heard the other one is open. But today Noah woke up at 11:00 from his nap so it worked out perfectly! Hopefully we will be able to make it there again soon!
