Gingerbread day!

It's pretty well documented on the blog that Noah J loves him some gingerbread... as a matter of fact its possibly his favorite cookie ever!  You can read our past gingerbread exploits here, here, and here.  See!?  I wasn't lying.  Since he was a wee babe.  I pretty much gave up on using them to decorate with as well.  Especially now that we have three little monkey doodles begging me for a "ginger man" all day long.

It was fun to let Annie Rose really have a go at rolling out dough this year.  I don't think she really loved the taste of them, but continued to ask for them simply to be like her brothers.

They were gone in under 2 weeks!  I'm sure there is a better recipe out there but I use the one from my Southern Living cookbook and it makes a ton!  That's the main reason I keep using that same recipe.  Here we are a few days before Christmas and Noah has been begging I make a second batch!  Next year maybe I'll make two batches the first time around!

She can eat anything!

Well, she can't really eat anything, but she will certainly try!  Wyatt was sitting next to her on the floor eating an apple and she was absolutely desperate to steal it away from him!  So we got her an apple of her own and she was determined to take a bite, with just those two tiny teeth.
Since that didn't work out quite as she had thought it would, she had another plan.....
And Wy just loves that little girl so much he was happy to let her slobber all over it!  She is definitely very over baby food and ready for anything and everything she can get her hands on!

So funny

Yes, I make my husband get the camera to snap pics during dinner. We were eating one of our new favorite meals, Taco Dippers, and Noah created something quite exciting.  A little wrong in some ways?  Yes.  But so creative none-the-less!  Any guesses on what he thinks he created??
If you guessed a recreation of the day of our Lord's birth, then you guessed correctly.  Don't you see baby Jesus in a manger filled with hay?  Well, Noah J does. :)

Mmmmmmm! Ding Dongs!!!

When we went to my parents yesterday Noah J got the best treat he's ever had - a Ding Dong! Since they are Grandma's favorite snack she just had to share one with him and he was happy as a lark. He ate the outside first, all the way around, and then when he got to the filling he was so excited he had to say, "MMMMMMMMMMMM!".

mmmm! Popsicles!

So my poor little baby is sick!! He's had a cold that has turned into this terrible hacking cough, and now he sounds like a little frog cause he's hoarse!! So this afternoon we had an afternoon treat of a fruit juice popsicle to soothe his sore throat! Noah was thrilled with it, and made quite a mess. Luckily it was only 81 today, so it didn't melt too badly. After he got it he decided that he just HAD to sit in my chair on the driveway.... needless to say my chair is now covered in purple stickiness!

Please forgive his outfit- - we have yet to buy any summer clothes! The only shorts he fit in from last year were these, and we didn't have any shirts that matched! We had lots of fun out in the sun today, but I'm thinking I don't want it to get much hotter than this. Noah helped us pull weeds and prune bushes - yes, we actually let him carry scissors around, but he wasn't sure what to do with them - he just held them up to stuff and thought he was doing something great!

Mmm! Gingerbread men!

Today Noah J and I baked gingerbread men to decorate for our kitchen Christmas tree. Unfortunately I forgot to poke holes in an entire dozen of them, so they are sadly not hangable. But Noah was surely happy cause he got to eat some! He took it behind the tree to eat it and was cracking me up. In the 2nd pic he's doing the sign for "cat" cause he's telling me Lily is under there!

Mmmmmmmmmmm!

What could be more deliciously wonderful than a big mug of hot chocolate on a cold winter morning?? Noah J thinks not much!

Josh and I slept with our window open the other night and it was SO cold in the back part of the house when we got up. So we made hot chocolate and gave Noah J some in his sippy cup. He was one happy boy!!

Our doughnut lover!!

So I know I'm not gonna win the Healthy Mother of The Year Award or anything, but I made my boys some homemade doughnuts this morning. I saw the recipe in a magazine yesterday and just had to try my hand at it. I didn't have a tiny round cookie cutter, so I used a teeny tiny star instead. Noah J was thrilled to death with the little donut holes, and you know that just made my day! :) Now how to get him to go back to Rice Crispies for breakfast.....
