Roasting Hot Dogs
Noah J had a grand old time tonight roasting hot dogs on G&G's new fire pit! He was super excited about the fire and kept asking for more smoke. He also thought that it was fireworks! He kept looking up in the sky and saying "boom boom." It was too funny. Then he immediately ran off and got chairs for him and Joseph to sit in to watch the fire. We were cracking up. He wasn't the best weenie roaster - he wanted to bang the pit with the stick, but he was very happy to eat what he cooked. He also got to make smores later in the night, but he didn't want to eat the roasted marshmallows, just the raw ones. Oh well, more for me, right?

Brrr, its cold!
Isn't this weather just fantastic? Noah was SOOOOO excited when we went outside yesterday. I guess he forgot what winter feels like! And to top it all off, he got to put on his jacket that G&G bought him. He was giddy about it. I took him to Wal-Mart this evening and every person we passed in the parking lot he yelled, "Cold! Me jacket!" And if you know Noah, you know he doesn't talk to strangers, so he must have been really excited! We also told him that we were taking Wyatt to the doctor today and he was totally pumped about getting a lollipop. But when Wyatt stopped puking we cancelled the appointment and Noah J was just sobbing over this stupid lollipop. SO we picked a bag up at Wal-Mart for Halloween and he got to have one. Can you tell how happy he is?

They share EVERYthing!
So we've had quite a week at the Marlatt house. Noah J caught a stomach virus from Maddie and puked for 2 straight days and nights. And then yesterday Wyatt started puking, so you can just imagine how things have been. No sleep for Mom and tons of laundry!
Since Noah was sick I tried to keep the boys away from each other as much as possible. I went to go transfer my never-ending laundry to the dryer so I put Wyatt on the love seat, across the room from Noah on the couch. And look at what I came back to - Noah right in Wyatt's face reading him a book! I was so mad, but they were just so sweet together I ran and got the camera! The other two pics are from Wyatt today after he finally got to have a bottle of formula. He had just been getting Pedialite and water, so he was such a happy boy. And he got to hang out in his cozy jammies all day!

No more peas, please!
I gave Wyatt peas for the first time this week, and the boy HATES THEM!!! In the first pic you can see he's thinking, Hmm, okay, Momma just gave my a teeny taste of my first peas. Not great, but not bad.
In the second picture, though, he's going, wait a minute, now that I got a whole mouthful I'm pretty certain I hate this!! He then refused to eat another bite of anything else. WE tried it again the next day and the same exact thing happened. I was getting a bit worried that he only liked sweet veggies (winter squash, sweet potatoes), but I gave him green beans for the first time tonight and he LOVED them! I just can't stop laughing looking at that picture!

Too heavy...... Can't lift!
Roly Poly
Look at my little roly poly! I was cooking dinner this morning and left Wyatt in the living room, and when I peeked in at him he was all the way across the room! I had left the folded laundry on the floor and he roller over to it (it's Noah's mattress cover) and grabbed it, and then evidently rolled the other direction and got caught up in it! What a hambone. Noah never rolled around, so this is cracking me up!

The Most Beautiful Day Ever!
Can I just tell you that today was the most perfect day to go to the beach? We wanted to go this summer but never seemed to have the time, so we decided yesterday that today would be a perfect day. We were inspired by my friend, Megan, who took her family in the evening and it looked really nice. Well, it was! It wasn't hot and miserable like most daytime, summer beach trips are. We go there around 4:00 and left just before 7:00 and it was just ideal. I took 101 pictures, so even if it seems like I'm posting a lot, I'm really not! I'll try to put some captions on them.....
My beautiful Wyatt baby smiling at Grandma.
Wyatt hamming it up for Daddy.
Isn't this just beautiful? Noah and Grandma thinking they are cool in their glasses in the gorgeous sunset light.
Wyatt in his jammies ready to go home. Aren't they so cute? They were new and this was his first time wearing them.
A rare pic of me and my mom!
Noah J doing a little dance in the water . He was SOOO excited by the waves coming in but VERY afraid of them. He would only dance a tiny bit and then he would....
RUN AWAY as fast as he could!!!!!!
After he finally became brave enough to stand in the waves, he would cover his eyes whenever one was going to crash on his legs! Too cute!
Smiling and laughing cause he was so incredibly proud of himself for standing in the ocean.
Me and my boy before we left the house, super excited about the beach!
Noah insisting that he wear his hat like Wyatt. He took it off about 2 seconds after this photo, never to put it on again!
LOVING to dig in the sand! He immediately wanted us to build a tunnel.
Papa and Noah patting down the sand that they are going to build their tunnel in.
Driving the tractor over the tunnel. You would have thought this was the most exciting thing ever! He was so happy.

Slipping and Sliding
So can you believe I found this ultra cute Slip and Slide for only $3.74 at Target? I saw it a month ago for 8 bucks and wanted to get it since Noah is so obsessed with elephants, but I held back. And I'm glad I did! We were going to put it away and save it for next summer, but Noah J had a rough afternoon so we decided to pull it out for some fun. He really loved it! I had no idea that the water actually came out of the elephant's trunk - isn't that just too cute? Noah played for a long time and we had fun watching him. Poor kid just doesn't understand why we can't go to the pool anymore - I don't understand it either! I guess our neighborhood is just cheap! It is still incredibly hot and we would be there everyday if we could. But for now the Slip and Slide will have to work!

Covers!
So have you noticed that Noah doesn't use covers? Well, he's obsessed with the quilt on our bed, but just doesn't want one on his own. He just sleeps on the mattress with his Dee Dee at night. That is, until last week. He told me he wanted his own covers so we pulled them out and he was so happy. The second picture is him pretending to be asleep for me! Well, the covers only lasted about 2 days, but at least I got a picture! They are now in a pile on the floor of his closet.
The last pic is Wyatt after his bath - its fuzzy but he's just too cute in it so I love it.
