Leaves of fun!

SO here I am in my quiet house, everyone asleep, and I can't get to sleep myself! So I decided to blog some pictures since I am so terribly behind!

These are from the 21st over at G&G's house. They made this huge pile of leaves for the boys to jump in, and they just had a blast. This went on for 3 or 4 days, until it rained and it was one big pile of yuck! There were more cute pictures the first day, but we took them on G&G's camera and I don't have them yet. They had so much fun and didn't care that is was FREEZING outside!

I win!!

Here's a quick video of us all hyped up about the snow! I love it, if only for Noah's comment saying "I win!!!!" He caught a snowflake and declared that he won! Ohhh, the mind of a 3 year old!

Snow!!!!

So of course everyone already knows last week that is snowed in Houston, but I just had to share out pics anyway. The kids absolutely freaked out - I think cause I just started running around the house screaming! I just grabbed them up, found the keys to the back door, and ran outside. Poor kids didn't even have shoes and jackets, but they were sure excited. Well, at least Noah was. Wyatt didn't really know what to think of it - he was just happy that he actually got to go outside, since he had been asking all day. Little did we know that this was just a small taste of what was to come, cause that night we drove up to College Station to go to Santa's Wonderland, and they had over 2 inches! I'll share those pics later this week - I just love them!

I don't even know how I'm going to deal with Noah now that he has seen snow. He asks me all the time "when it gonna snow, mom?" and I have to explain that is doesn't snow in Houston. He thinks that cause it snows on Caillou that it snows everywhere! Now that God has decided to prove me wrong, that poor boy is waiting for more!

Random pictures!

So here's a few random pics from the show - just for those of you that can't watch the videos! (That means you, mom!)

Away In A Manger

Here's Noah "singing" Away in A Manger with his class. My heart just melts each time I watch this cause he looks so scared he might puke! We laughed and laughed cause after the show we got in the car and Twila Paris was on the radio singing this song - and Noah got so excited and said "they recorded this?" He really thought it was his class singing on the radio!

Something about that name!

Here is Noah's second song they sang - you can see not a word came out of his mouth! But he did do some of the hand movements teeny tiny down at his side so you can hardly see them. So adorable!

My Birthday, Jesus' Birthday

It's hard to believe, but little Noah J had his first school Christmas program last week. He was positively the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! I felt terrible cause the poor kid was sick as a dog, with a sore throat and a fever, but I made him go. After we missed his Thanksgiving Feast cause we were camping and he is STILL waiting for it to happen, I just knew he couldn't miss this. We all thought he would either never make it onto the stage, or he would cry the whole time, but he was such a big boy! He didn't sing anything, but he did do most of the hand movements. Here is a short clip of the first song they did - Noah J is right in the middle in the argyle sweatervest. Oh my goodness when I watch this I just want to eat him up!!

Momma's tub!

Like I said yesterday, I let the boys take an afternoon bath in my tub, and they were just tickled to death. I gave them extra bubbles and cups, so it was a dream come true! They are so funny in that tub cause it's so deep and I let them fill it waaay up, so they really swim around! And then when all the water drains out they do this crazy slipping and sliding thing in the leftover bubbles. I love it and would share pics but they have their bits and pieces hanging out! :)

Our fireman!

So Noah isn't too too much into dressing up and pretending. I think it's the clothes - he just has to take them off after a minute cause it makes him nuts. But back on the 3rd he was out playing in the back yard and came in and asked if he could turn the hose on. It was hot so I figured why not, so he was one happy boy. About 10 minutes later he came back in and asked for his fireman costume - even the hat!!! I could not believe it. And that boy stood out there and put out fires for close to a half hour! He was having so much fun. He came back in drenched and cold so we immediately hopped in the tub to warm him up! To make a mid-day nap seem more enticing I let the boys have it in my bathtub, which is possibly the most exciting thing to those two. I'll post those cutie pie pics later this week!

Buzz and Woody

Let's see........ it's just about Thanksgiving, and here I am just now blogging about Halloween! It's been crazy around here. And this room makes me nuts, so I've been avoiding it at all costs!

My boys were not much for picture taking Halloween night, so we only got a few pics. Wyatt took his hat off about a hundred times, and Noah refused to wear his purple hat thing on his head. Wyatt was such a pro - he reminded us of Noah at that age. At each house he tried to walk right in behind the people giving him candy - it was so funny! And he wasn't shy at all - just reaching right in to grab what he wanted. I really think that boy would have gone on all night if we would have let him. Noah was a bit grumpy, so we didn't do too much, but we did walk all the way to his favorite house on the other side of the neighborhood. His favorite part was coming home and taking his sweatbox of a costume off, and then of course eating all the candy! They got to ride in their spooky wagon on the way back, and Noah loved that part too. He was also more than slightly obsessed with his eyebrows - he was so worried we were going to smudge them! We could not stop laughing about those eyebrows, but he looked just like Buzz! All night he kept saying "to infinity and beyond!!!!!!!!"

Now that Halloween is over they still like to play in their costumes, although Wyatt normally wants to wear buzz lightyear. I think I know what he will want to be next year!

The teeny tiny airport

We had a slight catastrophe last week, involving the airport. My grandma was coming back from Germany and Noah was going to go to the airport to pick her up. So of course that morning when he woke up I made a huge deal about how he was going, only to have my mom call 10 minutes later to say her flight got cancelled! What??!

You know how once Noah J has something into his head, there is pure devastation if he doesn't get it. So we came up with this alternate plan of going to the "teeny tiny airport" as he calls it that is just down the road. We drive by it every day but have never stopped. They were so nice - they just told us we could walk around and look at the planes but just to stay out of the way. Alright! Both the boys loved it, and we even got to see one plane take off! Now if I can just get it out of his head that we can't ride in one, then we'll be good to go!

A Spooooooky Walk!

A couple of nights before Halloween we thought it would be great fun to take the boys out for a "spooky walk!" Noah was quite intrigued with the idea and couldn't wait to go. That boy just LOVES scary stuff. He gets so excited about all of the Halloween decorations at all of the store and loves to stop and look at people's houses and yards. We have a few people that really go all out just down the street, so I thought they might really like to get to see it at night.

So we ate dinner early, took our baths, got our jammies on and bundled up. They were just so cute in the wagon together! We walked all the way to Noah's favorite house, but when we got there they didn't have any of their stuff turned on. So we walked around and found this other house with that hideous green witch! Isn't it just awful? Noah was a little unsure of it. Cause whenever Josh would take a picture of her she would start talking. But I swear, that is the only thing that made her talk. You could move her or talk to her, but she only responded to the camera flash. CREEPY!

Noah keeps asking, "When we gonna go on that spooky walk again?" Poor boy is gonna have to wait for a while! But we had so much fun we're gonna try and go for a Christmas walk this year - before we always just drove around, but it's so fun to see it all up close!

Halloween Cookies!

I don't know what I was thinking, but we decided to make Halloween cookies last week. And why, really? You see TONS of halloween cookie/cake decorating stuff, but do kids really need more sugar on Halloween? I didn't really think about it, but then Saturday morning when Noah was asking for lollipops AND cookies it kind of sunk in that it was a dumb idea. But they had fun!

I was so excited that Wyatt licked the beater and spatula. If he didn't look just like me, I might be inclined to think that Noah J isn't my own son cause he refuses to do something which I hold so dear! And to top it off, neither of them wanted to eat the ones that I iced! What kid wouldn't take a cookie with icing and sprinkles?! They take after their Daddy I guess. It's complete craziness, I tell you!

Mmmm, popsicles!!

I cannot believe how behind I am in posting! These are actually from a whole month ago - 10/7, but I figure they are just as cute now!

The boys were playing outside and surprise, surprise, they wanted popsicles! Noah is pretty much obsessed with asking for one every day. But it makes SUCH a mess! I make Wyatt eat his with a towel in his lap cause he routinely just lays it down in his lap for minutes at a time. He's so oblivious! So I put Wy in this chair and Noah wanted to sit next to him, so I took the opportunity to get pictures of them together, which you all know I NEVER get.

What I love about these pictures is the progression. This is pretty much how every single thing goes for poor Wyatt. First, they each have their own popsicle and they are happy. Then Noah wants to taste Wyatt's, and evidently he thinks its good. So he lets Wyatt taste his. Then the "asks" if he wants to trade, which basically means Noah is taking it no matter what. Now you can just replace the word "popsicle" with any other food or toy, and thats how Wyatt's whole life is - constantly trading with Noah. But the boy doesn't seem to mind - he even kind of likes it!

Little Tex, again!

Two weeks ago, after I went to pick the kids up at my parents, this is what I found. My child in his red long johns and boots and a hat. I could not stop laughing. I immediately brought him home and Josh and I had to take pictures of it. Noah was so excited about his new hat and boots that he also had to put them on, but he insisted that after his bath he would put his dirty clothes back on with all of his western stuff. We have pics of that for later in the week!

Fun at Dewberry Farm!

We went with some of the gals from our MOPS group to Dewberry Farm this week, and the boys had a blast. We went on Tuesday morning when it was kind of rainy here, but it was pretty nice in Brookshire. That is, until noon. We were waiting in line for the hayride when this HUGE bolt of lightning crashed through the air, at which point we all ran for our cars! So the trip was cut short, but we're OK cause we're gonna go back next week again! Noah is pretty pumped.

Both the boys fed the goats, which was quite shocking. You know how Noah J is unsure about everything, but he just stuck his hand right in there. I really think the whole school thing has made him so much braver! And you know Wyatt was obsessed with the goats. He kept crying when he was out of food and they wouldn't come back and lick his hand - he thought they should come kiss him just for his good looks. We also saw a milking demonstration, which was pretty boring, but Noah said something that cracked me up. The guy told the kids, "I want you to understand how the milk gets from the cow to your dinner table." Noah looked at me with the huge smile and crazy face and said, "MOM, cows don't eat dinner at a table!!!" It was so funny and adorable. I just love the things they say at this age.

They also had this huge playground and sandbox with all kinds of things boys love, so naturally Noah was in heaven. They also went onto this huge hay pile to jump in (you can see Wyatt fell in!), and Josh took Wyatt on this crazy rolley slide thing. The coolest part of the place was this "jumping pillow" they have. It's kind of like a big bounce room thing, but without the walls. We only played for a few minutes on it cause we ran to catch the hay ride, but next time I think it will be hard to get Noah J off of it! Even Wyatt was brave enough to attempt it, and you know how scared he is of bounce rooms!

I'll have to update more when we go back next week!
