Steppin' time!

So not only is Wyatt officially a walker, but he's also a dancer! He was cracking us up throwing himself all over the room for Steppin' Time!

Noah's Ark Pool

Hmmm, I guess it was the week before last we took the kiddos over to the Noah's Ark pool at First Methodist Church. I read about it online last summer, but we never made it out there, but since Wy loves the water too, we thought it would be great fun for both of them. It was really nice - the kids had so much fun, and they also had a big pool that they liked swimming in. Wyatt was a little difficult cause he wanted to do everything on his own, and we kept having to remind him that he was a baby! He can hardly walk on land, nonetheless in water! So next summer it should be much better with the boys older. Fun fun fun!

A visit from Zoë

We were so excited cause we got to meet Zoë this week! And she was just as cute as her pictures! I love this picture of Noah and Zoë cause they really were happy to be laying next to each other. That is until Noah sat back up, then accidentally laid back down on top of her. She didn't like that so much! I was also happy cause I got to hang out with Courtney and Mike, and we even went to dinner without the kiddos! Yippee!

I can't wait till next summer when they move back here! You know Noah isn't a fan of strangers (even if he's met you before), but for some reason he just loves Courtney and Mike. He keeps picking up the phone and pretends to be calling Ms. Courtney. I ask him what she has to say and he always tells me she's sick. But not Zoë . Zoë not sick. Ms. Courtney sick. What?! Crazy kid.

Look at that crazy truck!

So I'm finally getting to the end of the pictures from over a week ago at Granny's house. Paula's cousins were in town visiting, and they brought their bright yellow truck. You know how Noah is about strangers, and he was not happy when we told him they would be there in the car. But as soon as he saw this truck all of his fears faded away. He screamed, "Look at that crazy truck!!!!" And since he was a good boy Robert and Charlotte let the boys drive the car before they went home. Do you see how happy Noah is? He just kept saying, "Look at these crazy seats! Look at this crazy....fill in the blank with anything about the truck." He was cracking us up!

Rock on!

Publish Post

What is is about boys and rocks? At Granny's last weekend the boys were excited beyond belief by this little patch of lava rock she has. And that stuff hurts - and Wy just crawled right into it like it was grass or something. They had so much fun! I love it when they do stuff together cause Noah is pumped and you can tell Wyatt feels special that he's doing a "big boy" activity.

Our gorgeous boy

I don't have a story for these pictures, but Josh and I are in love with them, so I thought we would share. Don't you just want to squeeze his little head?

The noodle and the stairs

One of Wyatt's favorite activities is going up and down stairs. He hasn't quite figured out the down part, but that doesn't stop him from trying to go head first. That's one of the reasons it is often difficult to take him to G&G's house - he cries the whole time cause all he wants to do is the stairs! SO I was a little stressed when he saw these stairs at Granny's house last weekend, but then I was pleasantly surprised cause he can do them all by himself - both ways!

He was so adorable, cause he was trying to get this ball up and down with him and it was so cute. And when he would get to the bottom step he would stand up, so proud of himself. And here's the big announcement - he officially walked! He's taken a step here and there up until now, but while we were at Granny's he actually did real walking - one time about 3 feet and another time about 4. It's so cute! We tried to capture it on video, but only got a smidgen before he fell. I'll have to upload it so y'all can see. He's so cute when he does it cause he sticks his belly out and pulls his shoulders back and then takes these teeny tiny steps. I love this boy!

Watering granny's yard

Last weekend after the swim party we drove out to Granny's house for dinner. Noah decided that Granny's plants needed to be watered (as all plants do according to him), so Daddy took him out to water the plants. I love pictures of him doing this, cause he's always so serious, concentrating on what he's doing. Wyatt was stuck inside and kept knocking on the window to get Josh's attention, and he snapped that cute pic. See how Wy's pointing? He ALWAYS has that teeny tiny finger pointing at something - I love it! Noah never pointed at anything, so this is new territory for us. It's like he's saying, "Hey you! Yeah, you Dad! I want out there, too!"

A swimming party!

I took the kiddos over the Joseph's house for their annual summer splash party this weekend, and I think Noah had the most fun he's ever had. I also think that he loves Joseph more than any other human being on this earth. He didn't stop playing from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. And you know how he's normally shy around other kids, well, it didn't seem to matter to him. As long as Joseph was close by his side he didn't care. They had so much fun. Wyatt wasn't too sure about the water at first, and he spent most of his time in the sand box. They loved playing and splashing, and then Noah also loved getting to have as many teeny tiny ice cream cones as he wanted. What a fun day! It was hot, but so worth it. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I got squirted with water so many times I decided it might be a good idea to put the camera up! ;-)

Little Tex!

We found Wyatt in the kitchen playing with Noah's lawn mowing hat last week and had to snap some pics cause we thought he was so adorable. I love my boys!

Our bunny rabbits!

So we have these 2 little plastic bunny rabbits in our front flower bed under the wax ligustrum. I always swore that I would never be one of those people with figurines in their yard, but I love these. After my grandmother died we were cleaning out the back yard and found these hidden under some weeds. So I took them home and now I have them in our yard. And it makes me so happy, cause the kids absolutely love them. Noah usually gets them to himself and makes Wyatt play with a stick or something, but this time Wyatt had them all to himself. You can see that Wy thinks he should kiss/eat them, but Noah J usually has them hop around the yard and eat dirt. It makes me sad, but also happy cause I know my grandma would be thrilled that the boys love to play with them.

Little sassy things

After their marathon of water carrying, Maddie and Noah decided they needed Popsicles the other day. And I didn't even realize they were doing this till I looked at the pictures, but they both had their hands on their hips. I think that is so cute. Noah J LOVES Popsicles, can you tell?

Wigglers and a whiner!

So the wiggler's turned out to be a great investment, cause the kids love playing on them. But poor Wy feels left out. Maddie and Noah were riding off down the sidewalk, and there was poor Wyatt on the driveway reaching out and whining cause he wanted to come too! Poor boy! If he would just get going on the walking he could join in!

Water fun

Here's the kiddo's playing in the yard last week. Noah and Maddie thought that taking all of the water out of the pool with cups and bowls was the coolest thing they had ever done. They watered the plants, poured it on the driveway, and even on our feet! By the time they were done poor Wy had just a few puddles left in the bottom of the pool. I just liked these pics so I thought I would share!

Happiness is.......

In our house I guess happiness is a new toy! Daddy came home with this cool pop up Thomas thingy that one of the nice people at his work gave to him for Noah J. Wasn't that a nice surprise? So thoughtful!

The boys thought it was the coolest thing they had ever seen. They immediately had to get into it. And then Noah insisted that they both drink their milk in it. He's so funny about that - if he's gonna sit and have a drink he always asks me to get one for Wyatt too. Then we realized we could put all of our cardboard blocks in this, which we were pretty excited about cause they've been in a sack in our closet for months. But the boys wanted no part in it - they kept dumping all the blocks out. How can they play in it if it's full of blocks?

Waiting out Edouard

Since we thought we would be under the attack of a tropical storm on Tuesday we decided to stay home the whole day. Of course we now know there was no reason to do that, but what can I say. By around 11:30 we were getting pretty stir crazy so we decided to entertain the kids with homemade popcorn and picnic in the living room to watch a movie!

Wyatt had never seen the air popper, and he wasn't too happy about it, either. He shook and moaned almost the whole time it was running. But that didn't stop him from reaching into the bowl to grab a bite. I think popcorn may be his favorite food! Noah was of course excited - he loves to make the noises that the machine makes - that's what he's doing in the top picture - he's saying, POP!

We were going to put a new movie in but oddly Noah insisted that we watch A Bug's Life, and he had so much fun. He also insisted that we all lay down on pillows, and he tried to reenact each line from the movie. We couldn't stop laughing at him!

We keep saying on Tuesday nights we are going to start movie night with Noah J, but normally by the time 7:00 rolls around we are ready for some baby free time! Maybe we'll just start with 1 night a month!
