Buzz and Woody

Let's see........ it's just about Thanksgiving, and here I am just now blogging about Halloween! It's been crazy around here. And this room makes me nuts, so I've been avoiding it at all costs!

My boys were not much for picture taking Halloween night, so we only got a few pics. Wyatt took his hat off about a hundred times, and Noah refused to wear his purple hat thing on his head. Wyatt was such a pro - he reminded us of Noah at that age. At each house he tried to walk right in behind the people giving him candy - it was so funny! And he wasn't shy at all - just reaching right in to grab what he wanted. I really think that boy would have gone on all night if we would have let him. Noah was a bit grumpy, so we didn't do too much, but we did walk all the way to his favorite house on the other side of the neighborhood. His favorite part was coming home and taking his sweatbox of a costume off, and then of course eating all the candy! They got to ride in their spooky wagon on the way back, and Noah loved that part too. He was also more than slightly obsessed with his eyebrows - he was so worried we were going to smudge them! We could not stop laughing about those eyebrows, but he looked just like Buzz! All night he kept saying "to infinity and beyond!!!!!!!!"

Now that Halloween is over they still like to play in their costumes, although Wyatt normally wants to wear buzz lightyear. I think I know what he will want to be next year!

The teeny tiny airport

We had a slight catastrophe last week, involving the airport. My grandma was coming back from Germany and Noah was going to go to the airport to pick her up. So of course that morning when he woke up I made a huge deal about how he was going, only to have my mom call 10 minutes later to say her flight got cancelled! What??!

You know how once Noah J has something into his head, there is pure devastation if he doesn't get it. So we came up with this alternate plan of going to the "teeny tiny airport" as he calls it that is just down the road. We drive by it every day but have never stopped. They were so nice - they just told us we could walk around and look at the planes but just to stay out of the way. Alright! Both the boys loved it, and we even got to see one plane take off! Now if I can just get it out of his head that we can't ride in one, then we'll be good to go!

A Spooooooky Walk!

A couple of nights before Halloween we thought it would be great fun to take the boys out for a "spooky walk!" Noah was quite intrigued with the idea and couldn't wait to go. That boy just LOVES scary stuff. He gets so excited about all of the Halloween decorations at all of the store and loves to stop and look at people's houses and yards. We have a few people that really go all out just down the street, so I thought they might really like to get to see it at night.

So we ate dinner early, took our baths, got our jammies on and bundled up. They were just so cute in the wagon together! We walked all the way to Noah's favorite house, but when we got there they didn't have any of their stuff turned on. So we walked around and found this other house with that hideous green witch! Isn't it just awful? Noah was a little unsure of it. Cause whenever Josh would take a picture of her she would start talking. But I swear, that is the only thing that made her talk. You could move her or talk to her, but she only responded to the camera flash. CREEPY!

Noah keeps asking, "When we gonna go on that spooky walk again?" Poor boy is gonna have to wait for a while! But we had so much fun we're gonna try and go for a Christmas walk this year - before we always just drove around, but it's so fun to see it all up close!

Halloween Cookies!

I don't know what I was thinking, but we decided to make Halloween cookies last week. And why, really? You see TONS of halloween cookie/cake decorating stuff, but do kids really need more sugar on Halloween? I didn't really think about it, but then Saturday morning when Noah was asking for lollipops AND cookies it kind of sunk in that it was a dumb idea. But they had fun!

I was so excited that Wyatt licked the beater and spatula. If he didn't look just like me, I might be inclined to think that Noah J isn't my own son cause he refuses to do something which I hold so dear! And to top it off, neither of them wanted to eat the ones that I iced! What kid wouldn't take a cookie with icing and sprinkles?! They take after their Daddy I guess. It's complete craziness, I tell you!

Mmmm, popsicles!!

I cannot believe how behind I am in posting! These are actually from a whole month ago - 10/7, but I figure they are just as cute now!

The boys were playing outside and surprise, surprise, they wanted popsicles! Noah is pretty much obsessed with asking for one every day. But it makes SUCH a mess! I make Wyatt eat his with a towel in his lap cause he routinely just lays it down in his lap for minutes at a time. He's so oblivious! So I put Wy in this chair and Noah wanted to sit next to him, so I took the opportunity to get pictures of them together, which you all know I NEVER get.

What I love about these pictures is the progression. This is pretty much how every single thing goes for poor Wyatt. First, they each have their own popsicle and they are happy. Then Noah wants to taste Wyatt's, and evidently he thinks its good. So he lets Wyatt taste his. Then the "asks" if he wants to trade, which basically means Noah is taking it no matter what. Now you can just replace the word "popsicle" with any other food or toy, and thats how Wyatt's whole life is - constantly trading with Noah. But the boy doesn't seem to mind - he even kind of likes it!

Little Tex, again!

Two weeks ago, after I went to pick the kids up at my parents, this is what I found. My child in his red long johns and boots and a hat. I could not stop laughing. I immediately brought him home and Josh and I had to take pictures of it. Noah was so excited about his new hat and boots that he also had to put them on, but he insisted that after his bath he would put his dirty clothes back on with all of his western stuff. We have pics of that for later in the week!
