Overalls

So we haven't put Noah J in overalls since he was like 14 months old cause I kinda thought he would flip out over them. For the first 5 minutes of being in a collared shirt he flips out pulling at the collar, so I thought he would get really angry about the overalls. But I found this pair on clearance at Old Navy so I thought I would give them a shot cause they were just too cute. And to our surprise he just LOVES them. I've been hiding them in his bottom drawer cause when he sees them he screams until he gets to wear them. Who would have thought?

My boys are toots!

I don't have much to say, but thought I put some pics up of the boys from this week. Noah was saying night night to Wyatt and there were so cute I ran and got the camera to get a pic of them all. And then the other pics are from us goofing around on the couch the other morning. Now if only I could get Noah to open his eyes while smiling!

Noah with the camera

I can't believe I forgot to post these pictures! Noah got ahold of the camera a long time ago (July 18th to be exact) and we let him take at least 2 dozen pictures of himself. He thought it was just too hysterical. Josh, Noah and I were all laying on his bed playing in the dark and Noah just kept taking more and more. It was just too funny, the flash going off in his face, but he seemed to like it. At the time I was thinking I would just delete those pictures, but once I saw them I just fell in his love with his little pud face!

Mmmmmmmm! Rice cereal!

So I took Wyatt to the doc today to get his junk checked out again, and she surprised me by saying we could go ahead and do his 4 month checkup a week early. So he was great - he already weighs 17 lbs 4 oz! She was sure to tell me he wasn't fat and that he was perfect! I told her everyone tells me he's too huge and I need to feed him less. The kid only has 5 bottles a day!

So anyways, she gave us the go ahead to start feeding him solids, so we started on some rice cereal tonight. He was a little unsure at first, but I think he really liked it! Noah was very upset Wyatt was in the highchair, and even made us give him a baby plate and rubber spoon. Wy had his shots so he wasn't in the best mood, but I think he did really great for his first meal. Noah J cried the instant we put it in his mouth, so we're already in a much better place with Wyatt. The instructions for making "babies first cereal" are terrible cause its so thin they just can't keep it in their mouth. So I made it a lot thicker for Wyatt than I did for Noah - I think he liked it that way!

The doc said to do cereal for about 3 weeks then add veggies and then fruit, but I think i'm gonna just do my own thing. What baby wants to eat that terribly bland cereal?? Noah J wouldn't eat any cereal, so we went straight to "sweet" veggies and fruit that we just added cereal to. So I'm thinking we're gonna go ahead and get Wyatt on some veggies next week. We're going to the store tomorrow so I think I"ll pick up some butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and apples. I'm so excited to cook for my baby! Look at how cute he is!

Play-doh

A few months ago I bought Noah J some play-doh thinking that he would just love it. The boy was terrified of it! I pulled it out for him and Maddie one day and neither of them would touch it. So its just been sitting in a drawer, until this week when Noah found it. And he now has a new love!! He mostly wants me to make really big hearts, and then little tiny hearts. And then he counts how many hearts he has.

But I'm jumping ahead. The first day I pulled it out I rolled a piece into a little ball. Noah got SOOOOOO excited and started saying "coconut!!!!!!!!!". I guess he thought it looked like a coconut. So then he wanted me to make him some more. So we rolled the entire thing into balls. THen he wanted me to make a tree. It was just too funny. His grandma always draws him a coconut tree on his magnadoodle, but I had no idea he loved it so much! It was so cute I had to take a picture of him with his coconuts!

Daddy's shoes

NOah is just too funny shuffling around the house in Josh's shoes. He's really quite good at it!

The jumperoo

WYATT:

NOAH:
In case I haven't mentioned this, my littlest boy is a supreme wuss. He is truly afraid of every single noise and object he ever sees/hears. So not to my surprise, he was not entirely sure of the jumperoo. I think he was entirely afraid of what Noah might do to him while he was stuck in this thing. Look at how he's looking at Noah in the last picture! The difference between the boys is just crazy! The bottom pic is Noah when he is 3 months, 3 days old - look at how much he loved it! He was jumping like crazy - Wyatt just hangs there. He seems happy with it, though!

Bathtime buddies!

So our little chubba bubba has outgrown the infant tub. Thats right, at 3 1/2 months, he just doesn't fit in it anymore! Noah was in it till 6 months! So we decided it was time for just one bath a night, which is a very welcome change. Noah was uncertain at first, but then extremely excited about it! He thinks its his job to pour water of Wyatt's head. He's gotten much better about it, but really just thinks its great fun. Wyatt screamed and cried when we first put him in, but quickly calmed down. He loved the bath in the little tub, so we're not really sure why it upsets him so much. The ONLY time he smiled was when Noah got in his face and was talking to him. He really loves his brother!

Beyond Bounce

Noah J and Maddie had one last summetime date today. Maddie is spending a week with her grandparents, and then will be going back to the sitter during the day, so today was our very last summer fun day. She was also gone last week, so yesterday when he saw her he was SO happy. They were playing in Noah's room and we walked in on them standing there hugging and kissing! And then today they were winking at each other at lunch. Too funny!!

So we took them to Beyond Bounce and they were so brave. Last time Noah wouldn't do anything, but he just jumped right in and started going down the slides! It was really nice cause on Monday mornings its only kids under 4, so he could try everything out. Then we went to CiCi's for lunch, so we had a really fun day for just $10!! I don't know what poor Noah J is going to do now that his Maddie girl is gone!

Wyatt in the boppy

We're trying to help Wyatt learn to sit up, so we pulled the Boppy out last night. He wasn't really thrilled with the idea of it, so we decided to take some pictures instead. Silly kid wants to sit STRAIGHT up, so when we have him leaning against something he pulls himself forward but then can't stop so he falls flat on his face. I guess he'll learn eventually! We're gonna pull out the Jumperoo this weekend, and I'm really anxious to see how he likes it. I think its gonna be a little crazy with Noah trying to get in it too!

Spinning in circles

We thought it might entertain both the boys to put Wyatt in the stroller and let Noah push him around yesterday evening. It definitely made Noah happy, but I"m pretty sure Wyatt could have come up with better stuff to do. Noah thought it was hysterical to just stand there and spin him in circles. I'm really shocked Wyatt didn't puke. Check out how cute Noah J is in his teeny tiny undies. This was just a few minutes before bath and bedtime, so we just let him play in his skivvies.

It'z

So we took the kiddos to visit this new place off 249 called It'z. If you've ever been to Gattiland then its just like that, but they also have indoor rides. Noah wasn't feeling his best, but he did seem to have fun. He mostly wanted to spend all of his points on those games where you use the little crane thing to pick up stuffed animals. Well, we totally were bad at it and couldn't win one, but there were all these 10 year olds around us winning left and right. Josh and I felt old! :) He did get to use his tickets on this little gummy spider thing that he was very happy about. I think his favorite part of the day was after all the games when we got some icecream. He wanted to lick it out of the cup like you would an ice cream cone - he thought it was just hysterical. It was pretty cheap, the food was good, and it was easy to do with 2 kids (lots of room for the stroller for Wyatt) so we will definitely be going back!

Talking boy

SLiding

I forgot these pictures yesterday. See how Noah is covering his face on the way down the slide? But there's a smile underneath there!

The Hottest Coolest Time in Texas

We had such a great day - we took the boys to Schlitterbahn Galveston! Noah really had a great time. He was a bit timid at first, but before we left he even went down some slides by himself! You know he HATES when water gets in his face, but he was really great about it. He also really despises having a wet shirt on, but he was super excited to have a water shirt like his Daddy so he didn't try to take it off. Wyatt spent most of the day with Granny just hanging out poolside - but he was so good! No fussing or crying. If we had taken Noah at 3 months old we would have constantly been trying to keep him calm! He didn't smile much during the day, so I'm thinking he didn't really like it so much. When we got in the car to go home he just smiled and talked to me the entire way! But they both were exhausted so I'm thinking they will sleep well tonight.

I'm so sorry if my boobs are hanging out in these pictures! I told Josh he should have told me to pull up my top! He assures me there is absolutely nothing wrong with how much boob I'm exposing - he says I didn't pull an Elaine with nipple showing! None the less, I apologize if its more than you care to see! :)
