The new Kemah!

Can I hear a shout for the new Kemah anyone? I know my boys sure gave it a huge one! Noah has been asking for Kemah since Ike, so we were super excited when they started advertising that it was back. Noah saw those commercials and we just knew we had to plan a trip ASAP. And luckily, Josh had his last Saturday off so we were able to go as a family, instead of the kids just going with G&G.

Wyatt was super thrilled by the new double decker carousel, and I think Noah's favorite part was his good old airplanes. Lots of fun was had by all!

I love the picture of Wyatt with the fork - he was eating all of the olives out of the salad. Who would have thought?? I've got more pics but am out of time! We're leaving in the morning for Thomas, so I better go finish the last minute stuff!

Ahhh, long day!

And these 2 might be my favorite pics from the trip! I was calling out to Wyatt to come hold my hand while we walked back to the car and Josh snapped this great shot - I always hold my pinky out for him so he can grab it but I still have my other fingers to do anything that might need to be done! It just makes me smile. And Noah thought he would pull that heavy wagon up the road and over the HUGE hill - which he actually did. But on the other side it caught up with him and started running faster than he could. It was very reminiscent of an experience I had as a child at Texas City Dike. Can't wait for our next trip!

Tiny Elvis

Some more shots from the reservoir - just of baby noodle though. You can almost hear me saying, "do NOT get your shoes in the water!" just as he's stepping in! :)

Throwing things in water

As promised, more reservoir pictures. Here they are throwing anything they could find/dig up into the water. AND, the best picture of all time - Wyatt getting ready to jump. That crazy squatting, arms back move is what he does before he tries to jump. Usually he doesn't get off the ground, but it is the funniest thing you have ever seen. And here he is - and what is he doing? - acting like he's gonna jump into the water. What the camera doesn't catch is that at this point I'm running over and screaming " NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Good thing he can't do it, or that boy would have gotten soaked and probably been really happy! I also love love love the picture with Noah in the air - it so catches the fun of the moment!

Fun at the reservoir!

So technically these pics are a month old, but I just got them off my camera today, so they will have to do! And we took around 200 pics and I love almost all of them, so I think I will post a bunch this week cause I can't narrow down my faves!

We took the kids over to Barker Reservoir for a picnic and playtime cause it was quite possibly the most beautiful day ever! I love days where it's sunny but you can still wear long sleeves and jeans and still be comfy. We have been promising the kids a picnic there for a couple of months, so we picked Noah J up from school, got some subs, and started driving. The kids didn't eat much, but they sure did have fun.

We brought the wagon full of toys and stuff, but they really only wanted to pick up anything they could and throw it into the lake. Who knew that alone could entertain them for 2 hours? Certainly not me!

I apologize if half the pics are of the backs of their heads and stuff, but those are almost always my favorite ones. I'm one of those people who don't get rid of a single picture - that's why I'm no good at scrapbooking. I don't want to pick just 5 of the best pictures from the event - I want all 60, ya know?

Doesn't Wy look like he's gonna jump in? They almost did and I'm sure my life will be 5 minutes shorter because of the stress!

Rodeo day

Poor Noah J's first Rodeo day at school did not go quiet as planned. It seems as if his body knows when something exciting is going to happen at school and it decides to get sick! Poor kid has been sick for every fun thing. But after the fiasco of missing the Thanksgiving feast that the boy still asks about I wasn't going to let him miss this, but maybe I should have! He had a fever but I just gave him some Tylenol and sent him on his way. It was a MOPS day for me so I was just a few rooms over and came by during his activity time and this is what I found! One sad boy, and Josh standing there taking pictures of him! It was really heartbreaking. He convinced us that he needed to go home so Josh promptly swept him off his feet and popped him into the car. I feel awful that he didn't have any fun!

I kinda think that it might have something with us being there - he gets so self conscious and won't do anything when we are around. So I've decided to not go to anymore stuff like this. The next week they had a "dinosaur day" where they dug up bones and stuff but I didn't go see him and get pictures cause I thought he would clam up! Who knows! One way I'm letting him have fun, and the other I'm making him feel like I don't care! What's a mom to do??

More haircuts

So we decided to go ahead and cut Noah's hair the same day we did Wyatt's, even though I thought it was quite possibly the worst idea ever. He had his hair cut 2 times before at the barber shop, but the 2nd time was such a fiasco I swore we'd never go back. Well, since evidently I can only cut hair 1 length, and that's super short, I thought we'd give it a shot. And he surprised us all - he did great! No freaking out or anything. I posted the pic of his boots cause he was so excited to wear them in the "fire truck." After the haircuts we took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese (or as Noah now calls it, Chunky Cheese) for the first time, which of course they loved. BUT, I don't think we'll be going back for haircuts anytime soon, cause it KILLS me to pay for it when I know I can do it. Maybe they don't look quite as nice, but it's good enough, right?

First Haircut!

So we finally sucked it up and took Wyatt to get his first haircut last month. I don't get it, but people were seriously still calling him a girl! I had been cutting it for about a year, but I wanted him to have that first haircut experience. You know Noah did really well for his - he only cried at the very end. So we thought Wyatt would do fantastic since he's not as much of a freak as Noah. Boy were we surprised when he started sobbing before he ever got in the chair! And about halfway through he stuck his whole hand into his mouth and sucked on it. I wanted to feel bad for him but it was so funny!! We made a video, I'll have to upload it later!

The rest of the park pictures!

So here are the rest of the pictures from the park! I don't know why Noah is crying in that one, but I do remember he had about 5 meltdowns over anything and everything that day, so who knows! I love it, though - look at those tear filled eyes! So sad! And weren't the clouds beautiful? We were mad the powerlines ruined the shot!

Park in Tomball

I have been so terribly neglectful of posting pictures! It's the fact that I can never find the camera to upload the newest pics! So here I am with pictures from a month ago, actually on Superbowl Sunday.

We didn't have any Superbowl plans and the weather was so gorgeous we decided to drive out to the park in Tomball that the kids like so much and have some fun. Even Granny came and visited for a little while! I forgot they had a sandbox, but I had just bought beach toys earlier that day at Target and had left them in the back of the car, so the boys were excited to get to use them! We even made a little tiny sand castle, which of course Noah freaked out about when Wyatt knocked it down.

I've got a few more from this trip that I will try and post tomorrow!
