My super heroes!

The boys have been way into all things super hero these last few weeks, so it wasn't a hard task to find them decked out in their hero gear to snap some pictures.  This was Noah's serious face that he wanted photographed.
Wyatt isn't really into it so much cause he likes it, but more cause his brother is doing it, and anything his brother is doing is obviously awesome.  Noah promptly got Wyatt to do the right pose for the pictures....
It is so funny cause you can see Wyatt is in a batting stance! He has his little hands clasped up over his shoulder like he's ready to whack a ball.  Although, I guess there isn't really a correct super hero pose, so this would work, too, right?  Noah thinks it is all wrong - evidently your hand must be on your hip.
They then proceeded to amaze me with their feats of strength and awesome power.  Their names were 'Camo' and 'Purple'.  Do you see why?  I guess they weren't feeling overly creative that day! lol

I seriously just laugh out loud when I look at these.  Noah was seriously getting into it.  I made a video, but I think it will take like 2 years to upload.  Perhaps I will set it to go before I head off to bed.   I adore these little heroes, as long as they don't attempt to leap from any tall buildings to rescue damsels in distress!

And an extra note that we ordered these custom capes and masks from an Etsy shop two years ago, and we love them.  Especially the masks - haven't seen any others that have big enough eye holes that the kids will actually wear them for more than 2 minutes at a time.  We highly recommend them!

My little Valentines!!

Couldn't you just eat them up??   I'm a bit obsessed with them!!  Not the cupcakes, but my boys.  I just love a holiday that lets you tell those that are the most important to you how much you love them.  Of course that means all three of my boys and my precious little muffin get showered with affection!
We were kind of a mess last week, but we managed to plan a little get together with a couple of other homeschooling families at the park.  We were super excited that some of our new friends from First Class came too!  We had punch and cupcakes, and then exchanged valentines.  It was a big hit!  Although after all my hard work of scratch made cupcakes and icing, Noah didn't like them.  :(  You know, the exact same cake I always make him and he scarfs down?  Yeah, that's the one he now doesn't like.  Ahhh, the joy of parenting a picky eater!! :)

Paper mache!!

Last week we started our new geography curriculum, and to kick it off we made a paper mache globe.  Sounds like fun, right?  I thought so too.  I guess I didn't really think through the chaos of it all.  We waited until Josh was home to do it, which I am so grateful for, cause I'm not really sure I could have done it without him.  Just the fun of ripping up newspaper was quite exciting for the boys.  Wyatt was SUPER excited to rip up this car ad.

I have no idea why, but this is the crazy pose Noah is always asking us to photograph.  I have no idea what he thinks it looks like, but we make him happy by snapping the shot.  :)

I have no idea why, but I really expected them to daintily place the strips in the glue mixture, and use their finger tips to pick it all up.  Obviously, the just stuck their whole hands right in.  I was also surprised at how long it took!  I felt like we worked on it for hours and only had  small portion of the balloon done.  Annie was so sweet to sit quietly and watch.  Which was a good thing, cause there was no way I could pick her up with all the glue madness covering everything!
This is the point at which Wyatt was removed from the activity.  Do you see it starting to drip down his arms?  All over the table, chairs, floor, and then the living room floor.  And to top it all off, he took a glue covered hand and rubbed it ALL in his hair.  Josh had to give the boy a bath to clean him all up!
Noah really focused and did an excellent job.  His actually came out much better than the one I finished for Wyatt.  You can see Wy just got to look on for the rest of the activity.
We have since painted them, and they are currently waiting to be hung up in the school room.  The boys are adamant that they are displayed that way. I will have to snap a pic when we get them hung!

Leg warmers!

Evidently this is how Wyatt thinks you need to stay warm in a cold, cold house.  We just found him last weekend walking around the house with Josh's socks on like this.  I LOVE this kid!!

Blackouts!!

So the week before last when we had the blackouts we snapped a few shots of the kids.  Of course they would start them right at 6am when it is still dark out, just to freak out my kids.  And of course give me no warning so I can find no flashlights and just have to fumble through the dark to find my screaming, hysterical boys.  They seriously get FREAKED if the electricity goes out at night.  Annie was quite happy to hang out with the lantern in her lap, staring at it.
Once the sun came up, though, the boys got over their issues and played around outside.  Which they had to do a bunch cause the electricity was out for around 5 hours.  They crack me up in those hats!  Noah's is so very small and he just crams it around his dome - it really must hurt.  But he adores it!

My little eater!!

So our little girl has started eating solids!!  We have been waiting anxiously for this day, with hopes that it will help her reflux.  Not really sure if that is happening, but she had finally decided that she enjoys food!
It was all really funny to her, till she had to sneeze.
I just LOVE this picture of her little sneezy face!!  It's those precious, silly, every day moments that are my favorites - and I caught this little squeezy face on film!  yay!!
She was really not interested in the oatmeal.  But a few days later we did bananas, then some apples and carrots.  And so far carrots are her fave!  She actually gulps them up.  And she is so funny - she really wants to eat, but just doesn't do it very well.  She opens her mouth up immediately when she sees the food, but she also sticks her tongue out as far as it will go!  It is so hard to cram that spoon in there with that tongue all in the way!  Next month we will try some more exciting combos.  Well, maybe sooner.  The new research out says basically to start feeding them anything you want first - meats, combos, etc.  And you don't even have to wait!  I have my baby cookbook out and ready!

Blocks!

For the first time, I had all three of my kiddos playing blocks at the same time!  It was so sweet I had to snap a few pics.  The boys think anything is fun if they get to do it in Annie's room.  Blocks in their room - boring.  Blocks in Annie's room - fun!!  This is Noah's idea of a cute face! :)  He cracks me up!  They built quite a city that was then taken over by all kinds of cats.  Lions.  Leopards. Jaguars.  They were all there.  It was a dangerous situation.
Annie loves her Baby Einstein blocks that Santa brought her!  Can you tell she loves hanging out with her bubbas?
