I can't believe I didn't take pictures today! Sorry for the boring, text-only post. Noah had tons of fun today playing with his friend Adeline. Which means Momma got to have fun playing with her friend, too! Yeah! At one point they were both in my lap together, being super cute and touching each other's faces. I don't normally get one cuddle bug, none the less two!! :) They played for so long Noah J was just exhausted and finally went down for his nap at around 3:15. The boy didn't wake up until 6:15!!!!!!! That's right, he slept for 3 hours!!!!!!!! I don't think he's ever done that. WSo of course he couldn't go to sleep at 7:20 like normal, so he got to stay up late and we had tons of fun. We even went to Wal-Mart to get a new phone battery at 7:00 at night! I don't even remember the last time I went to a store at night. It was a grand adventure! Then we came home and watched Last Comic Standing and didn't got to bed until 9:00!!!! He's such a sweet little bug - I like it when he stays up late cause he gets super cuddly!!

Oh yes, shouldn't I have known? Under the sink of course!!

Q: Do I have the most beautiful boy in the whole, wide world?A: Yeah, I do!!This is the cuteness I had to deal with while trying to cut his hair last night! How can I even concentrate on the hair when he's this darn adorable???? I'll have to snap a hair pic tomorrow to show the results!!! (Its not drastic, don't worry!)Noah seems to be feeling much better today. Had a 100.0 temp, but the doc says thats not a fever - only over 101.3 is a fever - crazy, huh? He was still pretty fussy, but I guess it was just from the shots. We had a fun, impromptu dinner tonight with G&G and Noah J was a ham the whole time and was way excited cause he got to eat his favorite rolls from Texas Roadhouse. Momma was pretty excited about it too!
I cannot believe I haven't posted about the nightmare of our Sunday morning. It started as any other day, but drastically changed in just a few moments.....Like normal, Noah J usually sleeps until sometime between 7:00 and 7:30. We ALWAYS make him stay in his crib till 7:30, though, and he usually just plays/moans on and off till we get him. Well this morning was no different - I get his milk cup ready while Josh gets him from his room. Well, through the monitor I hear Josh say "Honey, I need your help in here." HELP?? Why does he need help picking Noah up from his crib? Already I know its gonna be bad.Lets stop the story here let me fill you in on Noah's pajamas. Normally he sleeps in these skintight little sausage jammies. But he has the one pair that are baggy - EVERY time he wears these when we wake up he has them pulled off and on the floor. They are kind of long and as he walks around in the crib his feet pull them down farther and farther till he pulls them all the ay off and then plays with them. Saturday night he swallowed some water in the bathtub and was really upset while I was dressing him so I put him in the easy to get on, loose pants. Now, back to the story......I make my way to the bedroom to discover the most horrifying thing I have ever seen. My son standing in his crib, with pants and NO DIAPER on, covered in poop. Poop in his hair, on his face, IN HIS MOUTH, all over the crib, the sheets, his blanket, his toy, his stuffed animal, the carpet, the rug........... well, you can see where I am going with this. HE PULLED HIS POOPY DIAPER OFF!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine anything more horrible???? I spent at least 3 hours just cleaning everything and doing laundry. So that afternoon his has a 102.3 fever. Is it from eating poop? I don't know!! Try googling "my toddler at his own poop" and you won't come up with very many helpful articles! Josh thinks it from his shots he got on Tuesday, but I can't imagine it taking 5 days to bother him. He still had a fever today, so Joe didn't come over, which was good cause he was really needy, poor boy. He's getting better, though. I'm glad cause I didn't want to have to call the doctor and tell her he ate poop!!!!!
I figured you guys would appreciate not having a picture to illustrate this story!! :)
We haven't done anything exciting the last few days. Just playing outside in the heat, most of the time. I'm gonna have to get a job just to pay for all of the sunscreen!
Here is one of Noah J's favorite new birthday toys from Uncle Aaron and Aunt Christy. He can move himself along REALLY slowly, but mostly likes to just crawl along beside it pushing it with his hands. He REFUSES to walk behind it pushing it - he also won't walk behind his new lawnmower. What can I say, he's a strange boy! He does enjoy having Mommy and Daddy push him super fast through the tiled hallways - he sticks his legs straight out - you know like you used to do on your bike when you were a kid?! He's the most adorable boy ever!
Noah J had his first smoothie yesterday afternoon! I threw some vanilla yogurt, frozen blueberries, and juice into a blender and... voila!! A smoothie fit for a king! Noah J sat there and sucked down the whole thing. Throw in a few Cheerios and its a delicious afternoon snack!
We went to the park this afternoon and it was SO hot! The swings were in the sun and too hot to sit in, so we sat in this tiny little shade spot and Noah played with the stroller - you know, his favorite thing to do. When we got back we were burning up so I made him a watermelon smoothie for his snack - he liked it, but it was not as well received as the blueberry version! It didn't take much convincing to get Daddy to finish it off! This poor boy takes after his momma - when we got back Josh and Joseph looked fine - Noah and I were so red we looked like we had run a marathon. But no burns - we've been vigilant about the sunscreen!

So we have about a billion pictures of Noah with his new toys, so I'm rationing them out to make them last all week!! Here he is on Saturday playing with his new sand and water table Grandma and Grandpa got him. He wasn't too sure about it then, but we went outside today and he really loved it. Its pretty spiffy - it has areas to race cars over the water and then into the sand, its just the right height to stand and play, and it even comes with an umbrella! And G&G were so thoughtful they got him some of those foam mat things to stand on so its comfy, cool, and if he falls down he won't get hurt! Some birthday present, huh?We put the umbrella up on it and he was able to play in the shade, and it also protected him from the sprinkler that was running. He also got these little, tiny, hand-sized cars from Corrie and Mark, and he played with those in the sand and then dunked them in the water. He mostly likes to splash and take handfulls of dirt out of the box and put them on the ground. Of course, this is constantly interrupted by his obsession of walking all the way across the yard to the hose, and then back to his toy. Why does he love that hose so much?
As a side note, Noah J went to the doc today and his head is only in the 80th percentile now!!!! Can you even believe it? It HAS been looking smaller lately.....
That was the sound of Noah J's noggin hitting the concrete this evening!!! It was SOOOOO terrible! Can you believe that spot on his head? Just in time for his first birthday and all of those photos!!! He was walking on the patio and tripped on a little rock and fell face first. You can see it didn't keep him down for long, though! This is Josh's vacation this week so I'm not able to blog much! But I'll catch ya'll up next week!
Today was a tough day for the little boy!! I'm guessing that he's getting more teeth and its just really wearing him out. The front 4 on top are showing now, but I'm thinking there are more in the back. He cried for about 3/4 of the day and was chewing on his fingers and drooling a ton. That other 1/4 of the day I guess was when his Motrin was working.
Here is Noah J after his first lunch on his new back porch! We pulled the high chair outside this afternoon and we ate lunch together in the shade on our new patio furniture (thanks Granny!)!! I didn't think to take a picture till we were finished, so you just get his confused little face!
I think the grumpiness also has to do with the dropping the bottle thing - we're down to just one bottle first thing in the morning. But I KNOW he wants more - everytime I feed Joe he is trying to grab the bottle from me. Poor little bugger!! We're doing half milk, half formula except the morning bottle which is all formula. He won't drink much straight milk - hopefully he will get his act together!
